Governor Cuomo Continues Aggressive Coordinated Campaign to Take Back the U.S. House – Building on Max Out Contributions to Democratic Congressional Candidates Across New York

New York, NY – Governor Andrew M. Cuomo today announced his “Cuomo NY Take Back the House” PAC has made contributions to ten up and coming Democratic leaders in crucial battleground districts across the country to flip the U.S. House from red to blue. As Washington continues to attack the rights and values of all Americans, the new contributions build on the Governor’s aggressive coordinated campaign to take back the U.S. House in November.

The “Cuomo NY Take Back the House PAC” has donated $2,000 each to the following ten top-tier female leaders in key swing districts:

  • Abigail Spanberger (VA-07)
  • Amy McGrath (KY-06)
  • Chrissy Houlahan (PA-06)
  • Elissa Slotkin (MI-08)
  • Gina Ortiz Jones (TX-23)
  • Lauren Underwood (IL-14)
  • Lucy McBath (GA-06)
  • Mikie Sherrill (NJ-11)
  • MJ Hegar (TX-31)
  • Sharice David (KS-03)

Governor Cuomo said, “Trump and ultra-conservative Republicans want to take New York and this nation back to when women didn’t have the right to control their own bodies, when the majority of Americans were uninsured and when immigrants were demonized and ignored. That is not the America we see. Together, with these talented leaders, we are going to take back the U.S. House this November and chart a different path forward for this country. This is one of the most critical elections in our lifetime, and as one united Democratic Party, we are going to fight back against Trump’s divisive agenda and move forward by creating a fairer, stronger and more equal state and nation for all.”

As part of the coordinated campaign, the Governor has previously maxed out to New York congressional candidates Perry Gershon (NY-1), Liuba Grechen Shirley (NY-2), Max Rose (NY-11), Antonio Delgado (NY-19), Tedra Cobb (NY-21), Anthony Brindisi (NY-22), Tracy Mitrano (NY-23), Dana Balter (NY-24), Joseph Morelle (NY-25) and Nate McMurray (NY-27). The coordinated campaign is also providing robust field and GOTV support – deploying more than 30 field staff across the state – as well as targeting, analytics and direct mail. Additionally, Governor Cuomo will continue to headline fundraisers in key battleground districts during the homestretch of the election.
