I believe Andrew Cuomo is the right person to restore confidence in City Hall and move New York City forward.

Governor Andrew M. Cuomo, candidate for mayor of New York City, today proudly received the endorsement of Assembly Member John Zaccaro. In joining other officials that have thrown their support behind the Governor, Zaccaro praised his record on crisis management and his ability to restore order and confidence in City Hall.

First elected to the state legislature in 2022, Assembly Member Zaccaro represents District 80 in the Bronx that includes the communities of Norwood, Allerton, Pelham Gardens, Indian Village, Morris Park, Little Yemen & Van Nest.

“At a time when our city needs bold, experienced leadership, Andrew brings a proven track record of navigating crisis and fighting for everyday New Yorkers,” said Assembly Member Zaccaro. “His deep understanding of the city’s challenges—housing, public safety, transit, and economic recovery—combined with his no-nonsense approach to getting things done, makes him uniquely qualified to lead. I believe Andrew Cuomo is the right person to restore confidence in City Hall and move New York City forward.”

The latest nod from the Bronxite follows the influential backing of other key Bronx officials – including U.S. Rep. Ritchie Torres and former Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr.

Throughout his career in public service, Governor Cuomo has been a champion for working New Yorkers. He raised wages for millions of workers, passed the strongest gun violence prevention and paid family leave laws in the nation, advanced the most substantial infrastructure program in a generation, including the Second Avenue Subway, the Moynihan Train Hall, the new Kosciuszko Bridge and the new JFK and LaGuardia airports and codified Roe vs. Wade in state law years before the Supreme Court overturned it, all while cutting taxes and reining in spending.

Other key endorsements include former State Comptroller H. Carl McCall, the Staten Island Democratic Party, Assembly Member Latrice Walker, Assembly Member Erik Dilan, Assembly Member Yudelka Tapia, Assembly Member Charles Fall, Assembly Member Eddie Gibbs, Assembly Member Stacey Pheffer Amato, Assembly Member Sam Berger, Assembly Member Vivian Cook, Council Member Farah N.
