For the last nine years, Governor Andrew Cuomo has been delivering progressive change for all New Yorkers. We are proud to work closely with an incredible coalition of partners to promote equality and opportunity for all.

  • Andrew Cuomo has never backed away from his progressive principles, and at the same time he has been one of the most effective governors in this country. Look at his record. He led on recognizing marriage equality in America, ensuring that paid family leave is a reality for everyone, enacting meaningful gun control after the tragedy at Sandy Hook, and securing a $15 minimum wage for working New Yorkers. I look forward to addressing the Democratic Convention and talking about the tremendous possibilities ahead for New York and this country.

  • As our governor, Andrew Cuomo has been fighting back against Donald Trump and his draconian policies that will send us back to the days when women had fewer rights and no privileges. He is invested in the future of this state. Education equity, more women and minority owned businesses participating in our economy, taking firearms out of the hands of domestic abusers. Now is not the time for on the job training. The Governor has delivered for the women and girls of this state—he knows what’s at stake, he will fight for us every day.

New York State Attorney General Letitia James

    • Governor Cuomo has been a champion for Latinos in the Bronx and across New York. He has made our state a leader in fighting the Trump Administration's anti-immigrant initiatives, and he responded immediately to the needs of Puerto Rico in the aftermath of Hurricane Maria. We are living through trying times, and we need leaders who fight every day for our values and our families. That is why I am proud to endorse Governor Cuomo for reelection.

      Congressman José Serrano

    • In the wake of the devastation after Hurricane Maria, Governor Cuomo was the leading voice nationally helping the people of Puerto Rico build back stronger, better and smarter. That's the exact approach the governor has taken throughout his entire tenure in office—delivering results for New Yorkers by making college tuition-free, enacting a $15 minimum wage, and passing the strongest gun safety laws in the country. Governor Cuomo is a voice for change and a national progressive leader, and I'm proud to endorse him for reelection.

      Congresswoman Nydia Velázquez

    • I am thankful for Governor Cuomo's endorsement and his partnership in governing. When Washington Republicans launched an assault on Long Island families with the federal tax scam, Governor Cuomo led the nation by delivering unprecedented protections for hardworking New Yorkers. Republicans from Washington to Albany are out of touch with the day-to-day struggles New York families face, and I am grateful to have a leader like Governor Cuomo who will stand up and fight for New Yorkers.

      State Senator John Brooks

    • During Governor Cuomo’s tenure, New York passed the most comprehensive Paid Family Leave program in the nation, raised the minimum wage to $15, signed legislation to increase New York’s highest in the nation MWBE goal, and fought for education equity. The Governor is a proven leader with the experience we need to guide this state forward as Donald Trump and the Republican Party continue to trample on New York values. Andrew Cuomo is my choice for Governor in these uncertain times and I am proud to endorse him for re-election.

      State Senator Velmanette Montgomery

    • Governor Cuomo has made New York the most progressive state in the nation, especially when it comes to women’s issues. He’s improved access to breast cancer screening at medical centers, ended child marriage by raising the age of consent to 18, and has expanded pregnancy protection for employees. He’s removed firearms from domestic abusers and passed comprehensive sexual harassment protections. His efforts have made New York a shining example of leadership on these issues and he continues to empower us in our fight for equality. I am proud to endorse Governor Cuomo for re-election.

      State Senator Roxanne Persaud

    • From leading the charge to help Puerto Rico rebuild in the face of federal inaction to enacting strong progressive victories like paid family leave and a $15 minimum wage—there has been no stronger champion for the Latino community in New York than Governor Cuomo. The Governor doesn’t just talk the talk, he’s gets it done and continues to deliver for the hardworking people of this state, and that’s why I’m proud to endorse him for re-election.

      Assemblyman Marcos Crespo

    • New York is the birthplace of the women’s rights movement and under the leadership of Governor Cuomo, the Empire State continues to carry that torch for the nation. The Governor passed the most comprehensive paid family leave program, enacted the “Enough is Enough” law to combat sexual assault on college campuses, fought for pay equity, and delivered first-in-the-nation protections to prevent sexual harassment in the workplace. While the #MeToo movement is moving forward, Governor Cuomo is ensuring that the women of New York’s voices are heard, and they have the resources and protections they need. I applaud the Governor for his leadership, and I am proud to endorse him for re-election.

      Assemblywoman Latrice Walker

    • We need Democratic leaders across the state who will stand up and fight back for New York’s women and girls. Governor Cuomo has fought for New York’s women during his tenure as governor and has created the most comprehensive Paid Family Leave program in the nation, passed the Women’s Equality Agenda, and ensured that reproductive health was covered regardless of the future of the Affordable Care Act. His measures have been proactive, long lasting and one step ahead of the federal government. We need Governor Cuomo to continue this progress and to set the standard for the rest of the nation to follow. Today, I’m proud to endorse Governor Cuomo for re-election.

      Assemblywoman Jaime Williams

    • Governor Cuomo is a champion of social justice and has worked tirelessly to give women the rights they deserve. He has launched the New York State Council on Women and Girls in 2017 making women’s rights a priority, passed the Women’s Equality Agenda in 2015, and created the most comprehensive Paid Family Leave program in the nation. Governor Cuomo is a proven leader that New York needs. While the federal government tries to dismantle the progress women have made, Governor Cuomo has stood up and said we won’t go back. He’s leading the fight against Donald Trump and I’m giving him my support. I proudly endorse Governor Cuomo.

      Assemblywoman Tremaine Wright

    • As the Trump Administration takes aim at our reproductive rights, Governor Cuomo is fighting back. He has demanded the Senate return to Albany and codify Roe v. Wade into state law to safeguard a women’s right to choose. The Governor also delivered critical protections to prevent sexual harassment in the workplace, has doubled down on efforts to end maternal mortality, and is fighting to make child care affordable for all. Additionally he’s made the largest investment in public schools in the state’s history and created the Excelsior Scholarship, ensuring all have access to opportunity. Andrew Cuomo gets it done for New York’s women and girls and he is my choice for governor as we continue to fight back against Washington’s destructive agenda.

      Former Assemblywoman Annette Robinson

    • Governor Cuomo has proven time after time that he stands with all communities—including the African-American and Latino communities. He is a champion for social justice. Our city and state are safer, and our young people have better access to opportunities because of Governor Cuomo. Policies like the Excelsior Scholarship, the SAFE Act, investments in affordable housing, raising the age of criminal responsibility from 16 to 18, and appointing the first-ever special prosecutor to investigate police killings of unarmed civilians are all great steps forward. I am proud to see Governor Cuomo lead our state in so many ways and I’m proud to endorse him for another term as governor.

      Mayor David Dinkins

    • Governor Cuomo is a tireless champion for the LGBTQ community and continues to fight for LGBTQ rights through not just words, but action and results. Under Governor Cuomo, New York has become the progressive beacon for the nation—enacting marriage equality and showing the nation that love conquers hate, guaranteeing transgender New Yorkers access to critical health services, and prohibiting discrimination on the basis of gender identity. Governor Cuomo has always been here for us and I’m proud to stand by him as we continue to fight back against the Trump Administration’s divisive agenda.

New York City Council Speaker Corey Johnson

    • The governor has led the way by putting local governments first, enacting a 2 percent property tax cap, delivering mandate relief, while investing in our infrastructure, expanding broadband to underserved communities and investing a record $26.7 in our schools. Under Governor Cuomo, New York has reclaimed the progressive mantel and delivered real change for working- and middle-class families. The governor is a national leader who delivers through not just words, but action. Action that has directly benefited Albany County, specifically our veterans, seniors, immigrants, property tax payers, and students attending college tuition-free. I’m thrilled to endorse him for a third term.

      Albany County Executive Dan McCoy

    • New York State is much bigger than just New York City and Andrew Cuomo has prioritized the needs of all of us statewide, particularly those in Upstate New York, which had been ignored for decades. For too long, Broome County and the Southern Tier in particular were ignored by leaders in Albany, but under Governor Cuomo, that trend has ended. While some people running for statewide office seem more interested in running New York City, Governor Cuomo has lifted up and prioritized upstate communities, invested in job growth, economic growth and opened up new doors to opportunity. The Greater Binghamton Fund is revitalizing our communities and investing in new and emerging industries to ensure Binghamton stays ahead of the curve. Under the Governor’s leadership, New York is setting the standard for other states and will continue to make progressive strides. This is why I proudly endorse Andrew Cuomo for re-election.

      Broome County Executive Jason Garnar

    • For too long the needs of Buffalo, Erie County and Western New York were neglected by leaders in Albany. That ended with the election of Governor Andrew Cuomo in 2010 and I have been privileged to work with him since to create a better and more economically vibrant Erie County. During that time our efforts helped spur the creation of tens of thousands of jobs in our community through the targeted investment of state and local dollars in key economic sectors, like advanced manufacturing, workforce development and the medical sciences, while also increasing our quality of life through the further development of Canalside and the outer harbor of Buffalo. Additionally, Governor Cuomo has been a strong supporter of my administration’s efforts to revitalize long dormant manufacturing sites, like the former Bethlehem Steel site in Lackawanna, and turn them into 21st century green-friendly business parks. Furthermore, Governor Cuomo has proven he will fight for New Yorkers against increasingly regressive legislation introduced by the federal government that hurts New Yorkers whether they live in Brooklyn or Buffalo. I’m proud to endorse him for re-election and look forward to working with him to continue the renaissance that is the New Buffalo—the New Erie County.

      Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz

    • Governor Cuomo is a progressive leader who has delivered for Long Islanders on the issues that matter most—making college affordable, implementing the successful 2 percent property tax cap, protecting our coast lines, working to combat the opioid epidemic and modernizing the Long Island Railroad. Long Island is not New York City—we have our own challenges and unique assets and we need a leader who understands that and cares about all of us, and Governor Cuomo is that leader. Andrew Cuomo has stood up and fought to protect the people of Long Island from Trump’s harmful repeal of state and local deductibility, safeguarded our immigrant families, and is fighting to protect a woman’s right to choose. Governor Cuomo is a tremendous partner and is a relentless advocate and champion for the people of Nassau County, and I’m proud to endorse him for re-election.

      Nassau County Executive Laura Curran

    • Gov. Cuomo is rebuilding our critical transportation infrastructure, protecting our environment through the first-of-its-kind artificial reef program, fighting to lower property taxes, and taking on MS-13 to keep our communities safe, while successfully encouraging local governments to share services to provide tax relief to our struggling middle class. While some people seem to only care about New York City, Andrew Cuomo has been Suffolk County's biggest champion. You cannot be the Governor of the State of New York without understanding the needs of the people of Long Island, and not only has Andrew Cuomo fought for us, he has delivered. The governor has stood by our sides in good times and bad, and whatever Mother Nature throws our way we can count on the governor to have our backs. He is Long Island’s number one champion and I am proud to endorse him for re-election.

      Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone

    • Governor Cuomo has led the way by protecting our environment—investing in renewable energy, protecting our water quality, and transforming our parks and open spaces. The Governor delivers real results for New York’s working- and middle-class families and been laser focused on struggling communities in Upstate New York. If you want to be Governor of New York, you need to understand the entire state, not just talk about New York City. The choice in this race couldn't be more clear: I deeply appreciate all Andrew Cuomo has done for the people of Ulster County, and I am proud to endorse him for a third term as governor.

Former Ulster County Executive Mike Hein

    • Governor Cuomo is a national leader and has set a national example of what progressive effective government looks like. Andrew Cuomo understands that the people of Westchester seek property tax relief and has led the way by capping property taxes at 2 percent, implementing the first-of-its-kind shared services initiative and enacting paid family leave for all New Yorkers. He understands the challenges facing our community and has tackled them head on. The people of Westchester want a government that is responsive to their needs—not someone who only cares about life south of Westchester. Andrew Cuomo has an unmatched record of accomplishment from marriage equality and gun safety to $15 minimum wage and free college tuition for the middle class. He is a great progressive champion and I am proud to endorse him for re-election.

      Westchester County Executive George Latimer

    • Upstate and Western New York have never had a champion like Andrew Cuomo, and the proof is clear to anyone who has witnessed the rebirth of Buffalo over the past eight years. After decades of talk and neglect from Albany, the Governor has delivered for Western New Yorkers like we never imagined possible. Thanks to his leadership, Buffalo is booming—the jobs of tomorrow are being created at a record pace, unemployment is down across the region and more families than ever before are choosing Western New York to live, work and go to school. We are also proud to stand by Buffalo’s own Lt. Governor Kathy Hochul who has been our strongest ally for decades. She is the partner in government we need to keep Buffalo moving forward. We are proud of the Governor and Lt. Governor’s progressive record for all New Yorkers and to endorse them for another term.

Jeremy Zellner, Chair, Erie County Democratic Committee

    • For two terms Gov. Andrew Cuomo has delivered for our city and our state, and I am proud to support his re-election. As our governor, Andrew Cuomo has delivered on a progressive agenda that is setting the tone for our nation while also guiding the critical infrastructure projects New York needs to remain an economic powerhouse. Andrew Cuomo has led the way on the issues that matter to New Yorkers, from increasing the minimum wage to creating new jobs all over the state. Governor Cuomo was and always has been a steadfast friend to Puerto Rico, as the first person on the ground after the storm hit and the nation's leading voice in the recovery effort. He understands that we must do everything we can to rebuild the island and support the 3.5 million American citizens who call it their home. He deserves our support, and I urge all New Yorkers to join me and support Gov. Andrew Cuomo for re-election.

Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr.

    • The governor is Queens born and bred and he has been the number one champion for our borough while in office. From revitalizing our infrastructure by making major investments in a new LaGuardia airport, redesigned JFK and a new Kosciusko bridge, the governor doesn’t just talk about delivering these critical projects, he actually gets it done. He did that with the Downtown Revitalization initiative in Jamaica—injecting new growth and opportunity, while enabling the region to continue to attract good-paying jobs, middle-class families and visitors for years to come. Queens has had no greater friend and brother than Andrew, and I am proud to endorse him for re-election.

      Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz

    • Governor Andrew Cuomo is the only candidate with the proven experience to tackle the issues affecting New Yorkers, our families and communities. He has a proven track record of tireless service and dedication to New York and will continue to be an outstanding representative for the people of our great state. Governor Cuomo has my full endorsement and support for re-election.

      Councilwoman Adrienne Adams

    • Over the years, I have witnessed Gov. Cuomo work tirelessly with our state legislators to address immediate needs of public housing residents through direct funding to developments. I've also witnessed Gov. Cuomo make strides to address gun violence as a public health crisis by allocating SNUG funding to community-based organizations. And as Vital Brooklyn rolls out, I am proud to support Gov. Cuomo and look forward to working with him in my new role as a member of the NYC Council to ensure the neighborhoods I represent in Brooklyn get the resources and attention needed to be clean, healthy and safe for our families.

      Councilwoman Alicka Ampry-Samuel

    • Governor Cuomo was one of the first people who reached out after Pablo Villavicencio was detained by ICE in my district. In the era of Trump, Governor Cuomo has made it his business to defend and protect all the progress we’ve made on the things we hold dear. Locally, Governor Cuomo has committed to improving subway and bus service in my district and agrees that people in other states shouldn’t get to work in Manhattan faster than people in the five boroughs. Through his leadership, New York State will remain a place where all people are welcome, no matter the color of their skin, where they came from, how long they've been here, who they love or what they believe even during these times of unprecedented national uncertainty.

      Councilman Justin Brannan

    • I recently had the pleasure of sitting down with Governor Cuomo in Albany to discuss the many issues affecting the Bronx and our community. I’m proud to endorse Governor Cuomo today because of the many first-in-the-nation progressive policies that have provided opportunities never before available. He passed tuition-free college for all New Yorkers through the Excelsior Scholarship, has launched an aggressive assault on education inequity, enacted the most comprehensive paid family leave program in the nation and passed common sense gun reforms—making New York safer than ever. Governor Cuomo has fought for us and stood with us for the last eight years, and I look forward to working with him for the next four years.

      Councilman Andrew Cohen

    • As long as I can remember, Governor Andrew Cuomo has been a consistent fighter for the people of New York. Having had the opportunity to work closely with him on several occasions as a member of the New York City Council, I firmly believe there is no better person to fairly and competently represent the interests of all New Yorkers as Governor of this great state.

      Councilman Robert Cornegy, Jr.

    • There has been no greater friend to the Jewish community in New York than Governor Andrew Cuomo. The governor has led the way in protecting New Yorkers against the torrent of hate crimes unleashed by this Administration, fought to bolster trade with Israel and stood up against the discriminatory BDS campaign by divesting from any public funds used to further this harmful effort. The governor is a national leader for the Jewish community and I’m thrilled to endorse him for another term.

      Councilman Chaim Deutsch

    • Governor Cuomo has set an example of progressive leadership. I am particularly grateful for all he did to make marriage equality a reality, here, in New York State. Governor Cuomo has proven he will get the job done and that he is committed to progress. I endorse him for re-election and look forward to working with him for another four years.

      Councilman Daniel Dromm

    • During Governor Cuomo’s tenure we’ve seen New York stand at the front of the pack, leading on many social issues which are so important to the people I represent. He’s raised the minimum wage to $15/hour, brought affordable housing to New Yorkers in need, enacted environmental protections for a planet on the brink of disaster, and provided legal services to our most vulnerable neighbors threatened by deportation in their quest for a better life for themselves and their family as all immigrants inspired by the American Dream. With Governor Cuomo leading our state New Yorkers can look to a record of positive improvement and trust that there is more to come.

      Councilman Mathieu Eugene

    • Governor Cuomo has a long list of accomplishments which focus on families and women. When it comes to women’s issues, I can’t imagine having anyone other than Andrew Cuomo on our side. Through his leadership and initiative New York passed the first sexual harassment protection bill in the wake of the #METOO movement, offering real leadership where many others have been silent. He also expanded Pre-K programs across New York, delivered transparency in school spending and passed the most comprehensive paid family leave program in the nation. As Trump and his extreme conservative Republican Party launch attack after attack against women, I endorse Governor Cuomo because he is the leader who will fight for women’s rights and women's equality and stand strong during these challenging times.

      Councilwoman Vanessa Gibson

    • Governor Cuomo has been a champion of New York’s working- and middle-class families and that is why I’m endorsing him for re-election. He has made it affordable for families to live here by passing the property tax cap, created the most private sector jobs in state history and has invested in infrastructure projects making life easier for everyone. Governor Cuomo is the leader who gets things done and that’s why I’m endorsing him for another term.

      Councilman Mark Gjonaj

    • Governor Andrew M. Cuomo has been a visionary progressive leader. On issues from marriage equality to the minimum wage to the new Kosciuszko Bridge, his record of achievement is unmatched. I strongly endorse the governor for reelection.

      Councilman Barry Grodenchik

    • Governor Cuomo is dedicated to continuing New York State’s long legacy of advancing women’s rights. His heart and mind is staunchly committed to ending the gender wage gap, protecting women in the workplace and securing accessible women’s healthcare. I could not be more enthusiastic in my support for this Governor who has exhibited such understanding and compassion. We are fortunate to have a leader like Andrew Cuomo fighting for the State of New York and I’m proud to endorse him for re-election.

      Councilwoman Karen Koslowitz

    • Governor Cuomo has led our state through some of the biggest challenges in history. He’s been an ally to disenfranchised communities and stood strong in support of issues every day New Yorkers care about: Fair and equitable education funding, gun safety, stronger, healthier communities, college affordability and investments in our infrastructure. I’m glad he’s running for re-election and I’m proud to endorse his candidacy.

      Councilman Stephen Levin

    • During my time representing Queens, it has been a great pleasure to work with Governor Cuomo on a number of projects that have made New York State the leader of progress across our country. I’m proud to endorse Andrew Cuomo for another term as New York’s Governor as he has delivered a $15/hour minimum wage, passed the most comprehensive gun safety controls in the nation and made the critical investments in affordable housing. He’s got a record of success and I look forward to working with him to improve the lives of New Yorkers on our next set of community issues.

      Councilman Peter Koo

    • Governor Cuomo gets results. He's delivering on criminal justice reform, sensible gun regulations, economic fairness for low wage workers, and dignity for all New Yorkers regardless of race, sex, religion, sexual orientation, or immigration status. Making government work is hard—and almost nobody does it better than Andrew Cuomo.

      Councilman Rory Lancman

    • Governor Cuomo is an unmatched progressive leader who has fought and delivered for middle and working-class New Yorkers over the past eight years. He has worked to build a stronger New York for all of us, prioritizing major infrastructure investments like the Kosciuszko Bridge, Tappan Zee, LaGuardia and JFK and completing projects that many of New York's leaders have only talked about for decades. He’s lifting up our communities, investing record amounts in public schools, fixing the problems plaguing housing and delivering wage increases and good-paying jobs. I’m proud to endorse Andrew Cuomo for re-election and look forward to working together to move New York forward for the next four years.

      Councilman Alan Maisel

    • Governor Cuomo has worked to reform the criminal justice system and to create equal opportunities for all New Yorkers. The leadership he has shown on establishing the first in the nation special prosecutor, raising the age of criminal responsibility, closing 24 prisons and restoring the right to vote to parolees has made him a national leader. Governor Cuomo is looking out for all New Yorkers and that is why I endorse him for re-election.

      Councilman Donovan Richards

    • I’m proud to endorse Governor Cuomo for a third term as New York’s Governor. New York is moving forward on affordable housing, infrastructure, education, climate change, immigration and many other national firsts. Through the leadership of Andrew Cuomo, New York will continue on this path and secure our place during this time of unprecedented progress. His heart is in it, and Governor Cuomo consistently reaches out to all New Yorkers and is committed to the progressive values of our Democratic Party. We’re fortunate to have him as our current Governor and am excited to have him as our future Governor as well.

      Councilman Rafael Salamanca Jr.

    • When my district and I were outraged by two officers raping a teenager in their custody in Coney Island and then claiming it was consensual, Governor Cuomo’s office worked with my office and others to immediately close a consent loophole in state law. It was his ability to not only express outrage, but to swiftly deliver on his commitment that demonstrated a level of leadership needed at this time. I’m proud to endorse Governor Cuomo for re-election.

      Councilman Mark Treyger

    • Governor Andrew Cuomo has a proven record of preserving, protecting and increasing our quality of life. Cuomo is a man who understands the value of building up future generations and has worked extremely hard in order to make New York State a free tuition state for public colleges and universities. His record is unparalleled and pragmatic—he gets the job done. My father, City Council Speaker Peter Vallone worked closely with the late Governor Mario Cuomo and I look forward to continuing that tradition with Governor Andrew Cuomo. That’s why I’m proud to endorse him for another term as New York’s governor.

      Councilman Paul Vallone

    • I’m proud to endorse Governor Cuomo’s re-election. Throughout his service to the people of New York, Governor Cuomo has proven himself time and time again. Governor Cuomo has fought to bring security resources to our community, and he has fought to improve educational opportunities for all of New York’s children, whatever schools they might attend. Thanks to Governor Cuomo, New Yorkers are safer, New Yorkers are healthier, and more New Yorkers are employed than ever before. Our economy is booming, our schools are getting stronger and our infrastructure is being rebuilt after decades of neglect. Governor Cuomo knows the neighborhoods I serve because he comes from exactly the same kind of neighborhoods. This is no time for amateurs. We need Governor Cuomo to continue his work, and I’m honored to be his partner in public service.

      Councilman Kalman Yeger

    • From cuts to healthcare coverage, to attacks on collective bargaining, the Trump Administration has declared war on the worker protections that have sustained families for generations. New Yorkers need elected leaders willing to fight to improve conditions for working families, and Governor Cuomo has done just that. He has been a true advocate for healthcare workers, standing with us in the fights to increase the minimum wage, for higher wages for homecare workers, and in the fight to secure Paid Family Leave. Governor Cuomo has been on the front lines with us, and the working men and women of 1199SEIU are proud to endorse him for re-election.

George Gresham, President, 1199SEIU United Healthcare Workers East

    • With the labor movement and the middle class under attack, it is vital that the people of New York have a battle tested leader with a track record of proven results to get things done. I am proud to announce the New York State AFL-CIO’s endorsement of Andrew Cuomo to serve another four years as our Governor. When it comes to fighting for organized labor and the middle class, Andrew Cuomo has set a standard for every elected official in this country to follow. From fighting for and delivering the $15 minimum wage law, to the nation's strongest paid family leave policy, deductibility of union-dues, and taking on Janus, working men and women have no greater champion for their cause. Actions speak louder than words, and leadership isn’t just saying you are going to do something, it’s about getting things done and having a real, tangible, positive effect on the people you represent. Governor Cuomo is the nation's strongest leader in the fight for the middle-class, and we could not be prouder to endorse his reelection.

Mario Cilento, President, New York State AFL-CIO

    • Governor Cuomo has a long record of standing up for the working men and women of New York. From paid family leave to a $15 minimum wage to a $150 billion plan to rebuild New York, he has fought for and protected workers’ rights at every turn, and the members of New York’s Building Trades unions are confident that he will continue to lead the way.

James Cahill, Secretary Treasurer, Building & Construction Trades Council of Greater New York

    • It is well known that corporate CEOs and the wealthy are trying to convince the Supreme Court to side with them in the Janus v. AFSCME Council 31 decision which is expected any day. These greedy corporate interests think they are going to destroy labor unions by convincing hardworking Americans to quit on getting better wages, health care and benefits, but they are wrong. Here in New York, Governor Cuomo has already taken monumental steps to make sure unions are stronger than ever. Governor Cuomo stands united with us in this fight. He has stood side by side with us to secure legislation that will keep public sector labor unions strong in New York. I proudly endorse Governor Andrew Cuomo for re-election. I have said on many occasions when the Governor does right by CSEA, then CSEA will do right by the Governor. I applaud the Governor for his steadfast support of CSEA and all of labor.

      Danny Donohue, Former President, CSEA

    • On behalf of the 8,600 active workers and 6,200 retirees that CWA Local 1180 represents, I would like to announce our full-hearted support of Governor Andrew Cuomo. With unions under attack by the federal government, Governor Cuomo’s proven commitment to strengthening and supporting organized labor is not lost on our members. From legislation that allows union dues to be deducted from state taxes to the Fight for 15 to funding for the Murphy Institute School of Labor, to the nation’s strongest paid family leave program, Governor Cuomo has proven, in his two terms, to be the most effective Governor this state has had, and is moving New York forward.

Gloria Middleton, President, CWA Local 1180

    • Governor Cuomo has been a steadfast champion of organized labor and has consistently stood by our side. As Trump and the Supreme Court are trying to systematically dismantle union labor, Governor Cuomo has set an example for the nation by protecting our fundamental right to collective bargain and organize. Whether it’s Janus protections, $15 minimum wage, safeguarding and increasing access to quality healthcare, the most comprehensive paid leave program or making college affordable for middle- and working-class students—Governor Cuomo has our back. He has made New York the progressive capitol of the nation and I am proud to endorse him for re-election.

Henry Garrido, Executive Director, District Council 37

    • Governor Andrew Cuomo’s Administration has literally transformed the state of New York.” Under his leadership the roads we drive on, the bridges we travel across, the airports we use and the trains we ride on are being modernized by workers who are well trained, are paid prevailing wages and have healthcare benefits. In a time when so many elected officials have forgotten the bread and butter issues that matter to building the middle class—Andrew Cuomo has stood tall for tradesmen and women throughout New York.

Armand E. Sabitoni, General Secretary Treasurer and New England Regional Manager, LIUNA

    • Registered nurses need safe staffing in their hospitals to do their job—provide the highest quality care to patients. Governor Cuomo understands that. We applauded him when he recently directed the NYS Department of Labor to issue a notice to hospitals to support safe staffing. And today we are very pleased to announce our endorsement for his re-election. Our patients need a governor with the commitment and understanding of Andrew Cuomo.

Marva Wade, RN, First Vice President, NYSNA and Chair, NYSNA’s Political Action Committee

    • The RWDSU is proud to endorse Andrew Cuomo for a third term as Governor of the State of New York.

At a time when we have serious concerns about what is going on in Washington, DC, Governor Cuomo has proven that you can govern effectively, and advance progressive change in a unifying manner.

Not only has he ended the dysfunction that he found upon taking office, making government work again, and has improved our state’s infrastructure rebuilding bridges and airports, but he has also achieved progressive goals that many mistakenly believed might be unachievable.

After a Democratic controlled state senate failed to enact marriage equality, Governor Cuomo worked with a Republican state senate to make same sex marriage the law of New York before the U.S. Supreme Court followed suit.

Look at the minimum wage—we were the first in the nation to enact a $15 minimum wage, and to do it in a bi-partisan way. This has been, and continues to be, a major progressive goal.

And he has established paid family leave, proposed statewide scheduling reforms to protect workers and their families, and has called for a review of the sub-minimum wage that tipped workers—including car wash workers—receive.

As a progressive union, we have a shared vision with Governor Cuomo. Not only has he articulated our agenda, he has accomplished progressive reform. It is not enough to articulate an agenda, you need to have the ability to achieve it and make it real. He has done that.

The RWDSU was the first union to have endorsed Andrew Cuomo when he ran for Attorney General. In that role, He fought wage theft and injustices committed against working people and the people of this state.

We urged him to run for Governor in 2009, before he declared.

And we today endorse Andrew Cuomo for the fourth time—this time for a third term for governor. At a time when New York needs to show the country an alternative way, Andrew Cuomo has become our standard bearer.

Two good terms deserve a third.

      Stuart Appelbaum, President, RWDSU

    • Governor Cuomo is fighting back and protecting New York workers at a time when we are under constant threat from Washington. He doesn’t just talk—he acts and gets things done. Under Governor Cuomo, New York has shown the nation the way forward on issues of social, racial and economic justice. He has delivered reforms for workers to improve their lives and staunchly protected our right to bargain and organize as the federal government works to take us back in time. He is union labors’ greatest ally and he has stood side by side with us in good times and bad. He has fought for us for the last eight years and he is the leader we need for the future. The Teamsters Joint Council 16 is proud to endorse Andrew Cuomo for a third term.

George Miranda, President, Teamsters Joint Council 16

    • Andrew Cuomo is the number one champion for organized labor across the country. He is a visionary leader who has fought for union labor at every turn—from protecting workers rights to bargain and organize, ensuring fair wages and benefits, $100 billion infrastructure plan, rooting out worker exploitation and wage theft, and establishing the first-of-its-kind Excelsior Scholarship. The governor gives you his word and he gets it done for our brothers and sisters. As the federal government continues its attack on the rights and values of union labor, we need experienced leaders who will take the fight to Trump and win. The NYC District Council of Carpenters is proud to endorse our greatest ally across the country, Andrew Cuomo, for re-election.

Joseph A. Geiger, Executive Secretary-Treasurer, NYC & Vicinity District Council of Carpenters

    • Governor Cuomo has been a critical ally and a national leader for labor and working people. We are proud to have him stand with us in our fight to organize new, young workers forming unions across the city in higher education. These young workers are the future of our movement. The governor has fought for and delivered increased protections for workers in the face of the dangerous Janus decision, higher wages, tuition-free college, a 2 percent property tax cap, paid family leave and marriage equality. As the governor, he understands that labor is the backbone of New York and he’s helped strengthen the middle class. When it comes to working families—Andrew Cuomo is our champion—not just here in New York but nationwide. Organized labor stands with Governor Cuomo just as he has stood by us—and we are proud to endorse his bid for re-election.

Beverley Brakeman, Director, UAW Region 9A

    • Like many in New York State, this is an announcement that the 23,000 members of UFCW Local 1500 welcome and have eagerly awaited. Throughout his career Andrew Cuomo has been an unwavering supporter of working men and women. Through his policies, he has shown us all he goes well beyond talking the talk, Andrew Cuomo walks the walk. He is a man of action, not just empty rhetoric.

We live in difficult political times and New Yorkers are crying out for leadership, direction and hope. That call will be answered by Andrew Cuomo as the next Governor of New York State. He works hard every day for the average New Yorker and now the 23,000 members of this Union are going to work hard to see that he is elected the next Governor of New York State.

Tony Speelman, President, UFCW Local 1500

    • The Brady Campaign is proud to endorse Governor Cuomo—a national champion in the fight for gun safety—for re-election. When it comes to the issue of gun safety, you are literally talking about life and death, and at a time when Washington is kowtowing to the NRA, this nation needs proven and experienced leaders like Andrew Cuomo. The work Governor Cuomo has done to reduce gun related deaths in New York is a model the rest of the nation should follow. Governor Cuomo has led the nation in the fight for gun control—not with words, but with actions. Governor Cuomo has taken on the NRA and passed life-saving laws while most politicians offered nothing more than thoughts and prayers. Gov. Cuomo understands the issues and has created effective policies by banning high capacity magazines, running background checks on private gun sales and keeping guns out of the hands of domestic abusers and convicted felons. As we continue to push for stronger gun safety laws in the states and at the federal level, we’re proud to support one of the nation's most effective leader in this fight, Governor Andrew Cuomo.

Avery Gardiner, Former Co-President, Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence

    • Governor Cuomo has been a national champion for the LGBTQ community, with a proven track record of increasing much-needed protections and advancing equality for all New Yorkers. He led the way on winning marriage equality in New York, ensured critical non-discrimination protections were extended to transgender New Yorkers, took bold executive action to stop the discredited and dangerous practice of ‘conversion therapy,’ and set a strong example with his successful efforts to significantly lower the incidence of HIV and AIDS in the Empire State.

Chad Griffin, Former President, Human Rights Campaign

    • With the federal government is in the hands of anti-abortion extremists, New York needs leaders with a proven track record of using the full power of their offices to fight to expand access to abortion, contraception, and other reproductive care. Governor Andrew Cuomo is a national champion for women’s health, rights, and equality, who has delivered for New York’s women with leadership and results—from ensuring timely and affordable access and coverage for abortion and the full range of contraceptive options to combating maternal mortality to standing firm on the need for New York to finally safeguard a woman’s right to make her own decisions about her health and her future. The governor is the experienced leader we need to protect us from the assault on women by this destructive federal government. Lt. Governor Hochul has stood by our side from day one, using her elected roles to protect and expand access to reproductive health care—regardless of the cost to her and her political career—and serving as a powerful counterpoint to the regressive actions of this federal government. The future of reproductive rights is increasingly up to the states, and we need to re-elect Governor Cuomo and Lt. Governor Kathy Hochul to guarantee that New York leads the charge in protecting and advancing reproductive freedom. Their continued leadership will ensure New York is a bulwark against federal policies to undermine women’s constitutional rights and decision-making power over our own bodies.

Andrea Miller, President, National Institute for Reproductive Health Action Fund PAC

    • This was an easy decision for our NOW chapter leaders across the state. Year in and year out Governor Cuomo has put women’s rights front and center. At a time when our rights are under attack at the federal level, we have in Governor Cuomo a leader who works tirelessly to drive forward progress here in New York.

Governor Cuomo is building a legacy of real change for the women and girls of New York: raising the minimum wage of which women make up two-thirds of earners; enacting paid family leave; making it harder to discriminate against pregnant workers; and paving a path for young New Yorkers to earn tuition-free four-year degrees.

      Sonia Ossario, President, NOW-NY

    • The landscape has changed; due to the Supreme Court nominee, Roe v. Wade hangs in the balance. Now more than ever we need experienced leaders who understand the importance of protecting access to abortion in New York State. Governor Cuomo has been a national leader in the fight for reproductive health rights, and has been instrumental in improving New Yorkers’ health through increasing contraception access and coverage, improving maternal health to combat maternal mortality, and preserving access to safe and legal abortion. In this critical moment in our nation's history, the stakes are too high; we need an experienced leader who will fight to protect New Yorkers from federal attacks on our rights and values—and that leader is Andrew Cuomo.

Robin Chappelle Golston, President, Planned Parenthood Empire State Votes PAC

    • Ansonia Independent Democrats and Park River Independent Democrats are excited to announce our endorsement for Governor Cuomo's re-election. In the age of Trump, we are proud to have a progressive leader like the Governor standing up for New York values.

Lauren Browdy, Co-President, Ansonia Independent Democrats

    • Governor Cuomo’s progressive approach to tackling criminal justice reform, free tuition for college, investing in public housing and affordable housing, and fighting for Puerto Rico when the federal government turned their backs after Hurricane Maria, are few of the reasons the Arturo Schomburg Democratic Club proudly endorses Andrew Cuomo for NYS Governor.

Carlos Diaz, Vice President, Arturo Schomburg Democratic Club

    • The Barack Obama Democratic Club was founded in 2009 to organize Upper Manhattan residents around issues, not candidates. Since then our endorsements have reflected independence from the status quo and rigor with our founding principles. Last night, we endorsed Governor Andrew Cuomo in the Democratic Party primary because his record of accomplishments is completely in line with the policies that we champion: passing marriage equality, increasing New York State’s minimum wage, passing paid family leave and directing funds to provide free legal services for our State’s immigrant communities.

Juan Rosa, President, Barack Obama Democratic Club

    • The Benjamin Franklin Reform Democratic Club’s number one priority is fighting for and enacting progressive legislation that will improve the lives of New York’s working families. Eric Dinowitz, District Leader, 81st Assembly District, Bronx

Through his hard work and dedication, the State of New York has raised the minimum wage to $15-an-hour, passed the nation’s leading paid family leave program, and made historic investments to protect our environment, like banning fracking. Governor Cuomo also led the charge to raise the age of criminal responsibility once and for all. It’s clear that Andrew Cuomo is the best choice to continue as our Governor for four more years.

Greg Kirschenbaum, President, Eleanor Roosevelt Democratic Club

    • Governor Cuomo’s support for Puerto Rico has meant so much to our community. Since Maria hit the island, Governor Cuomo has led many recovery efforts, most notably his work to secure billions of dollars of aid, bringing recovery workers to help, and launched projects to rebuild our critical infrastructure. When others hesitated, Governor Cuomo was already on a plane—it means a lot to us. Governor Cuomo has made New York the national model of progress, he’s an ally to all Puerto Ricans, and we fully support his candidacy for another term as New York’s governor.

Raul Reyes, President, El Nuevo Caribe Democratic Club

    • The Frederick E. Samuel Community Democratic Club enthusiastically supports Governor Cuomo because of his commitment to Democratic principles and communities. The Governor’s track record on issues affecting black and brown communities on education, criminal justice reform and tenants' rights for all is unmatched. We proudly endorse Governor Andrew M. Cuomo for a third term.

Wilma Brown Phillips, District Leader 70th Assembly District, Part C, Frederick E. Samuel Community Democratic

We thank the governor for his leadership and partnership.

Marti Cummings, President and Founder, Hell’s Kitchen Democrats

    • We are proud to endorse Governor Cuomo and support his reelection. With Trump Republicans threatening to erase the gains the LGBTQ rights movement has made, it is important that we have a proven ally fighting for us in Albany. From working to secure marriage equality to protecting transgender and gender-nonconforming people from housing and job discrimination, Governor Cuomo has truly been there for the LGBTQ New Yorkers. We will continue to work with him to advance the movement for equality and justice here in the Big Apple.

Michael Mallon, President, Lesbian and Gay Democratic Club of Queens

    • Governor Cuomo’s record of accomplishment and history of actually enacting progressive policies speaks for itself. Whether it’s raising the minimum wage to $15 an hour, passing the SAFE Act—the nation’s strictest and smartest gun control legislation, investing $100 billion in our infrastructure, fighting for educational equity or enacting paid family leave, the choice for governor is clear: Gov. Cuomo knows how to get it done.

      Peter Borock, President, Lexington Club

    • Governor Cuomo has made New York the progressive capital of the country. He’s fought back against the hateful politics of Trump’s Republican Party and moved New York forward on decision after decision to enact progressive change. The SAFE act is sensible and logical and the way forward on guns; raising the age for non-violent crimes from 16 is 18 is sensible progress; marriage equality, environmental protections, infrastructure investments, affordable housing and many other programs—all enacted under Governor Cuomo—all represent that he is right candidate for the job and we fully endorse him.

Monica Guardiola, President, Lower East Side Democratic Club

    • The Governor’s efforts to protect healthcare, enact real gun safety reforms and bring equity to our public education system demonstrates that he’s listened to our communities and delivered results.

Ahsia Badi, President, Samuel J. Tilden Democratic Club

    • In a time when the Trump administration is actively rolling back anti-discrimination protections and working to erase the LGBTQ community, Governor Andrew Cuomo continues to enshrine and protect our community and expand the deliverable resources that New York State can provide us. In voting to endorse his re-election, the members of Stonewall Democratic Club recognize a leader that led the nation on marriage equality, continues to lead in the battle against HIV/AIDS, and uses the power of his office to smash the barriers of discrimination and fortify the opportunities for all LGBTQ New Yorkers. He’s set an example for the country by becoming the first executive to enact landmark anti-discrimination protections for transgender New Yorkers, increased healthcare protections and led the way by making it easier for transgender New Yorkers to change their birth certificates so everyone is free to be who they are. Andrew Cuomo took action to universally ban conversion therapy in New York, enacted the state’s first Hate Crimes Task Force and established the first LGBTQ memorial after the devastating Pulse Nightclub shooting. He’s the leader you want on your side who will take the fight to Trump and deliver results for LGBTQ New Yorkers through not just words but action. Andrew Cuomo is Stonewall’s choice for Governor because he gets it done for LGBTQ New Yorkers and we are proud to endorse him for a third term.

Rod Townsend, President, Stonewall Democratic Club

    • Governor Cuomo has continuously delivered meaningful change for New Yorkers—from the strongest gun safety laws in the country to enacting free college tuition, paid family leave, a $15 minimum wage and landmark protections for immigrants. As Governor of New York, Andrew Cuomo has spent the last eight years moving our state forward as a model of progress and is committed to fighting back against the ultra-conservative Trump Republicans bent on taking us backward. We look forward to working to support his vision to deliver real results for New Yorkers.
