District Leaders From Every Corner of New York City Endorse Andrew Cuomo for Mayor

Governor Andrew M. Cuomo, candidate for Mayor of New York City, today announced the endorsement of 25 District Leaders from every corner of the five boroughs. These District Leaders, who represent communities throughout the city, have united in support of Cuomo’s mayoral bid, citing his record of effective leadership, commitment to public safety, and forward-thinking vision for the future of New York City.

“Our campaign to save our city and once again make it an affordable place for all is gaining steam, rallying New Yorkers from every corner of every borough,” Governor Cuomo said. “I’m deeply honored to have the support of these district leaders who day-in and day-out have their ears to the ground and their fingers on the pulses of their neighborhoods. This growing show of support highlights the surging momentum behind Governor Cuomo’s campaign for mayor.

Throughout his career in public service, Governor Cuomo has been a champion for working New Yorkers. He raised wages for millions of workers, passed the strongest gun violence prevention and paid family leave laws in the nation, advanced the most substantial infrastructure program in a generation, including the Second Avenue Subway, the Moynihan Train Hall, the new Kosciuszko Bridge and the new JFK and LaGuardia airports and codified Roe vs. Wade in state law years before the Supreme Court overturned it, all while cutting taxes and reining in spending.
