Governor Cuomo Announces Endorsement of Aldo Democratic Club

We are confident Governor Cuomo will succeed in making New York City the crown jewel of the United States.

Governor Andrew M. Cuomo today received the endorsement of Aldo’s Democratic Club in his campaign for Mayor of New York City. Founded in 1927, Aldo’s Democratic Club is based in Astoria and is one of the oldest Democratic Clubs in Western Queens.

In deciding to throw their weight behind Governor Cuomo – a fellow Queens native – they highlighted the Governor Cuomo’s experienced leadership and his ability to once again make the city the crown jewel of the nation.

"Aldo's Democratic Club in Astoria proudly endorses Governor Cuomo for Mayor,” Executive Leader John Ciafone said. “We need his leadership and experience to move the City forward and improve the lives of all NYC residents. We are confident Governor Cuomo will succeed in making New York City the crown jewel of the United States."

Aldo’s Democratic Club joins U.S. Rep. Ritchie Torres, the Staten Island Democratic Party, Assembly Member Charles Fall, Assembly Member Eddie Gibbs, Assembly Member Yudelka Tapia, Council Member Kamillah Hanks, Council Member Farah Louis, New York City and Vicinity District Council of Carpenters, District Council 9 of the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades, former Brooklyn Democratic party Chairman Frank Seddio, Brooklyn Democratic party Vice Chair Henry Butler, 25 District Leaders across the city, former national director of the Anti-Defamation League  Abe Foxman, the Village Reform Democratic Club, and the Italian American Leadership Council in endorsing Governor Cuomo for Mayor of New York City.

Throughout his career in public service, Governor Cuomo has been a champion for working New Yorkers. He raised wages for millions of workers, passed the strongest gun violence prevention and paid family leave laws in the nation, advanced the most substantial infrastructure program in a generation, including the Second Avenue Subway, the Moynihan Train Hall, the new Kosciuszko Bridge and the new JFK and LaGuardia airports and codified Roe vs. Wade in state law years before the Supreme Court overturned it, all while cutting taxes and reining in spending.
